Hi, I’m Troy.
I’m an undergraduate at Caltech in the Computation and Neural Systems (CNS) department, pursuing an intended double major in CNS and Political Science. Currently, I am working as an undergraduate research fellow in the Division of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering on some interesting questions at the intersection of biochemistry and machine learning.
Broadly, I am interested in fundamental research in artificial intelligence, molecular biology, and neuroscience. More specifically, I am interested in:
- Neural biochemistry
- Protein modeling
- Fundamental neuroscience
- AI alignment and safety
- Agentic systems and autonomy
- Learning systems and meta-learning
- Systems theory
As one can tell, my interests are all over the place, and I have yet to officially decide which of these fascinating topics I am most interested in. Perhaps I never will.
I very much enjoy meeting new people, and would love to get in touch! Regardless of what you might have to share, I would be very interested in connecting and learning more about what is going on out there in the great big unknown :).
